Once Upon A Child - Only the manufacture date matters
I keep my daughters good quality clothes in mint condition. Things that are not, are donated.
So I haul in several large totes of clean, folder, good clothes (KateMack, Zaza Couture, Jelly the Pug, etc.) to sell. I was told to come back in a couple hours, so I did. They were rifling through the last couple bins of mine when I returned. I couldn't understand the process.
They didn't seem to be holding up the clothes to look at them for style or inspect their condition. So I thought the young girls must be looking for brand names. I then see them pass up couture clothing. Hmm?
So when I get my mountain of clothes back and am offered $12 for 9 items I go ahead an ask. Interestingly they are looking at the manufactures date on the inside of the clothing. They don't take anything older than 2 years. So my daughters 2014 black leggings, tags on are passed over...But her 2016 black leggings are scooped up.
Brilliant selection process. They are not worth my time.

I like how people refer to adult women as girls when they are the one acting like a child.
