Once Upon A Child - Customer experience at Lakeland,FL store. Not being human.
To the owner of Once Upon A Child,
I want to start of by saying that the employee I spoke with, which was the manager on duty was nice and polite. The situation was I purchased a Entertainer( bouncer) , on 09/19/2018.
My daughter didnโt use it a lot, so thatโs why I was going to return it. I came to the store today, While I was on my 30 min lunch, under the impression I was going to get a refund. The employee told me I was outside of my return policy, which she told me itโs a 7 day return policy. That is the first problem, as an owner do you understand that people have busy lifeโs and canโt come in within one week.
I myself, like most people work a full time job, Iโm also a full time student at Polk State College and I mom to a 5 year old and 6 month old. Life gets busy, I would think as mother and a worker you would understand and make the exception for being outside of the return policy by only 1 day. I understand that you canโt do that for every customer but back to the same point, I was out by 1 day. The next thing is the employee told me that itโs because I purchased a big item thatโs why I would only be getting store credit, I donโt understand that.
I donโt think itโs fair that i didnโt get my money back because I purchased a big item. So according to her, you have 2 different return policyโs. One being if itโs outside of return policy and itโs a big item you canโt get your money back. The other if you purchased a small item and itโs outside , you would do an exception...
nowhere in your return policy or receipt does it say that. After telling the employee over and over again that I didnโt need a store credit I needed money back and I didnโt think it was fair that she wouldnโt do an exception. The employee then called you, which you told her no. At that moment you could of put yourself in my shoes and be human and understand that not everyone has free time to come into the store and return something within one week.
The employee then told me that I could only get store credit, which at that point I kept expressing my self to her that I didnโt need a store credit. The employee then told me the only option would be buying it back. I purchased it for $45.00 and I got back $22.00. I would still like to the difference of $ 23.00 , because I believe it depends on the situation and having the power to make an exception for a customer.
I would be more than happy to come into the store. My phone number is 863-399-****, my name is Nathaly Zegel.
Thank you for taking your time to read this. I have the original receipt also.
